Here's my first ranting.
These past few months I've been thinking on whether to make my own blog or not. Apparently, I've come to a decision. Please bear wit me as i hone my blogging skills. Pfft.
As for this first entry, I'll talk about the title of my blog: In the Eyes of a Dog. I've thought naming it such not just because I love dogs but it's about dogs being COLORBLIND. Yep, you heard me right, they are! A lot of us expect our dogs to recognize color and fetch the red ball.
Now, now.. Imagine what it feels like being a dog. Seeing through the eyes of a dog. No distinction of color, no lurid bands and kaleidoscopes. Imagine us humans just seeing the world in black and white, and the gray things in between. How could we appreciate the color of our shirt, of flowers, of glossy magazines, of the rainbow?
As we look into the seven colors spreading across the horizon, a dog will just look up into the empty sky. A symbol of hope for us but to a dog it doesnt even exist. Should we say we're fortunate to be blessed with a pair of eyes that can distinguish color? Or is it better for us to see the world IN THE EYES OF A DOG?
And as always nature tends to reset. As the clouds thicken and not a shed of light bounces towards our eyes and during winter where the snow becomes the complete equalizer. Only during those times we can have a glimpse of the world in monotone. Black as darkness and White as snow. A dog sees both worlds at a time but we humans have to struggle to see color, we hunger for color that at the earliest stages of our lives we are tantalized and lured by it.
Colors confuse and befuddle us, clouding our better judgment.
Now would you want to see the world in black and white?
In the Eyes of a Dog?

Leave something here before you go!
